The 8th Annual Festival of Crafts is a well-known Canadian Art and Craft Event organized by Harbourside Promotions for the Apple Blossom Festival Committee.
This springtime celebration in Kentville, Nova Scotia, attracts tens of thousands of people including Arts and Craft lovers. Since the early 1930's, the Apple Blossom Festival has been celebrating the apples that are grown here in the Annapolis Valley.
The Apple Blossom Festival, which annually opens Nova Scotia's tourist season, continues to enjoy national and international recognition. In 1988 and 1991, it was selected by the American Bus Association as one of the Top 100 tourist events in North America. In 2002 the Royal Canadian Mint presented the Annapolis Valley Apple Blossom Festival with a 2002 50-Cent Sterling Silver Coin. It can be purchased at www.mint.ca/en/news/Newsletter/Apple Blossom Festival.htm
Ceremonies and festivals today are much the same as they were in the past, with school performances, art and craft sales, and special events. The festival is four days long and fun and exciting events are planned throughout the Annapolis Valley from Windsor to Digby, and all the scenic communities between. You don't want to miss this!
